AMSC Windtec is the global market leader in the overall development of wind energy converters (WECs). We do not manufacture wind turbines ourselves but supply comprehensive technology solutions, enabling our customers to build their own. With the help of our unique expertise, companies whose core competencies were previously in other heavy industries – such as shipbuilding or oil rig construction – can become manufacturers of WECs. A team of 175 people now work at our design and engineering center in Klagenfurt, Austria. Of them, over 130 are technical experts, combining high tech from the areas of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation and software.
